People over Profit

I was struck by this TEDx talk on People over Profit.



I think it fits well with what Jesus (and the whole of Holy Scripture) says we are to do with our neighbors.  It is always love.  Not of money, but of people. It is people over profit, or as one of our prayers (from the BCP) beautifully puts it:

O God, your unfailing providence sustains the world we live in and the life we live: Watch over those, both night and day, who work while others sleep, and grant that we may never forget that our common life depends upon each other's toil...

It reminds me of what this CEO did, cut his salary so his workers earned more:
