Human Sexulaity & #ConnecticutStatement


You may have heard of the Nashville Statement that came out this past week. It was written by the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood "in the hope of serving Christ’s church and witnessing publicly to the good purposes of God for human sexuality revealed in Christian Scripture, we offer the following affirmations and denials."

Several clergy in Connecticut published a response to Tuesday’s release of the “Nashville Statement." The Connecticut clergy group published what they describe as a “much more theologically sound and expansive statement.” The Rev. Adam Yates, rector of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in East Haddam, wrote, “While it started as a project among some Connecticut clergy, it has now expanded through signers to include people from all over the country," lay and ordained.
